The residence’s history in Florence
The main Villa dates back to the 19th century and was initally called “Villino Margherita”. It has been the residence of the German historian Robert Davidsohn, who became famous for his essays on the history and the origins of Florence (his books are still taken as a reference in the italian Universities).
The city of Florence placed a commemorative plaque at the entrance of the Villa (still present) to thank Mr. Davidsohn for his work which will remain heritage for future generations and for the Florence history and culture.
